Creating MyBlanks was a dream. But like any dream, it came with challenges, uncertainties, and a lot of work. Today, I wanted to take you behind the scenes of this adventure. Because beyond the oversized hoodies and minimalist designs, there is a story: that of a project built with passion, from scratch.
The beginnings: a vision and doubts It all started with a simple idea: to create clothes that reflect who I am and that could speak to others. I wanted simple, sustainable, but above all authentic essentials. However, going from idea to action is a whole other challenge. At first, there were many questions: where to start? How to find the right suppliers? How to make this vision a reality? That's when I understood that creating a brand also means accepting not knowing everything and building a road as you go along.
Production galleys One of the biggest challenges was finding reliable suppliers. My first order on Alibaba was a real disappointment: poor quality, uncertain deadlines, and a final product far from what I imagined. This first failure taught me to prioritize quality, to take the time to look for partners who share my values. Today, each MyBlanks hoodie is the result of this meticulous work: thick and soft fabrics, cuts that fall perfectly, and pieces that last.
Creation of the site and brand image Once I had the products in hand, I had to give them an identity. The MyBlanks website had to reflect everything I had in mind: a clean aesthetic, sincere storytelling, and a seamless experience for those who would discover the brand. Every word, every photo, every visual was designed to transport you into this universe.
Learning along the way Launching a brand also means learning to adapt. Sometimes, it’s the little details that matter the most: understanding community expectations, adjusting a TikTok campaign, or improving a product based on early customer feedback. Every step, no matter how small, has been a step toward what MyBlanks is becoming.
Successes that motivate Seeing the first orders arrive, the first positive reviews, or even receiving messages from people who recognize themselves in the brand, that's the driving force behind everything. It's not just sales: it's the confirmation that this idea, born a few months ago, has found an echo.
